Warning: This post contains images of an actual tendon taken during surgery!
If we see a reason for pain, we can believe the pain – that’s my claim for now. If someone breaks their leg and it is deformed, yes, I believe that person has terrible pain.
I cannot see EDS – back to the subject of pain perception, chronic pain, and the struggles many Zebras have! We don’t get the same credibility for our pain claims as, for example, the person with the deformed, broken leg does.
I will show some pictures of EDS. I have taken them throughout the years. I also will post an actual photo of my peroneus brevis tendon, taken during surgery in 2011. There is no blood visible, but not everyone can stomach to see pictures like this!
I call this my swiss cheese tendon .... split tears would be the medical term. Several of my tendons look like this, and it is one of the leads that led to the EDS diagnosis.

3D Scan off my ankles while standing .... instability clearly visible, especially on the right ankle, where the joint rotates towards the bottom right.
