Essential Oils and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome

Essential Oils, the topic that might be one of the biggest struggles. Paramedics mostly joke about essential oils, and there are plenty of memes about it.

I have been using essential oils for over 10 years, and I concluded that I have no opinion on how they scientifically work. They are from plants, nature, and stuff that grows. So are many medicines; they are plant-based at some point. Narcotic pain meds are somewhat derived from opium plants. Obviously, there is a whole lot more to it than just a plant, but their source/discovery was plant-based at some point. The other aspect of essential oils I use is the mind. Our mind is powerful; our minds and beliefs can change things. Often, we can't control that very well or always use it to our benefit. I wish I could think headaches go away, and it would. What I don't know is, does aspirin or ibuprofen work on my pain the same all the time? No, it doesn't; sometimes, I get relief, and sometimes I don't. So if I have an essential oil that I apply, and my mind is powerful enough to believe its works, I'm happy. Cause the essential oil is less damaging to my body than ibuprofen or aspirin, I frankly don't care if my mind believes the essential oil or the drug worked.

Of course, this is a very proud explanation, and I know that, scientifically, medications work differently than oils. But my point is that if I can get relief with oils first (whether cause it's them or my mind's belief), I have one incident less where I have to take harmful meds.

I will start a category about essential oils, and talk about different ones. In the meanwhile, if you like to purchase some good quality oils (yes the brand makes a difference) follow this link to my YoungLiving website.
